Emergency Repairs

The following are deemed to be an emergency:

  • Total loss of electrical power (but not when supply company has shut off supply
  • No heating to dwelling during the winter months (November to March)
  • Blocked toilets or outside drains
  • Total loss of water to dwelling
  • Lift breakdown
  • Burst pipes or hot water cylinders, causing internal flooding
 
Emergency Repair
  • Sever water penetration
  • Gas leaks
  • Total loss of communal lighting
  • Unsafe power or light socket or electrical fitting
  • Major structural defects causing actual or potential collapse
  • Person locked in (if lock is faulty or tenant is vulnerable)
  • Re-secure front or back door after force entry or burglary
